No, they're back on track right now.


They calibrate the SFMR by flying by a buoy or something with known windspeeds. Appear to have circled an oil platform to do so.

It's been a few years -- probably since Charley -- that I've really followed recon, but it seems odd to me that so frequently the flight level winds are lower than the surface winds. Am I remembering wrong, or is it just because Issac is so disorganized (for the most part)?
