This makes me wonder, should they fly into intense non-tropical storms as well?

They do fly into winter storms from time to time (high impact ones), we were thinking about trying to cover those flights too, just to help keep our hands in the mix and not have to relearn how to read everything every summer :lol:

May have a bird with problems...no obs for 20 minutes now.

From last recco message received:

"Flight Level Dew Point: Not available, probably because the dew point hygrometer was not working."

Waiting to see what happens.

305 was the replacement for 309, wasn't it? Or was 305 the one with the issues last time?

I'm thinking 305 was the one with issues. Getting Recco's but nothing else.

The dew point stopped being available at 5:57:30pm EDT and they continued on releasing HDOBs after that until the last ob at 6:40:30pm EDT.

I've got it right now but if someone wants to take over NOAA2 go ahead....still on AF305 also.

Also if someone wants to do the graphics be my guest...sorta got my hands full.

For the amatuers, like myself, I added up the FCT ADV from NHC, got 740 miles of TS winds, is this correct? :?:
