It appears they still are displaced. It is really growing in size though.

One crucial data set is missing and big numbers were found in the most recent set. Based on the data, I would put the intensity at 55 kt.

Flight level winds up to 59 knots so far on this latest pass. We might find strong enough winds to go to 55 or 60 knots, but nothing strong enough for hurricane force on this flight.

Flight level, pressure and surface level (per SFMR) are all stacked ontop of each other.

Looks like that is the case, trying to get a last check on the pressure before the advisory.

Doesn't hurt my feelings any! They are heading back toward the area where they found the strongest winds earlier.

They are on station until 06Z, or 2 am EDT. They've bumped up from 12 hour fixes to 6 hour fixes.
