I think the cam operator must be monitoring this thread...every time a question is asked...seems like the cam moves to try and answer (or its my overhyped imagination)

looking at a couple of differing satellite views, appears that Gustavo just took a bit of a more eastward jog in the most recent frame

Would be niceI'd love to have a pan towards the right, thus lessening the direct effects of the wind coming at the camera and to see the view in that direction again
AND THANK YOU, LOL!!

right, LOL (and now that i'm thinking about it, probably not the first time i've already done that in this thread....LOL)
... though since Katrina's replacement was Katia, Rita's replacement was Rina, and Fred is on the same list that Frederic once was, I wouldn't have been shocked if Gustav's replacement had been Gustavo instead of Gonzalo.

I can't believe that webcam is still up and running. Smoothly, at that. Really impressive wind there now... those trees are taking a beating.

Colors of lost purpose on the canvas of irrelevance
Not a meteorologist, in fact more of an idiot than anything. You should probably check with the NHC or a local NWS office for official information.

I cant say enough, how awesome this is having the Port Cam functional and being "driven" to offer up all of these great views and vantage points.

Have not been watching The Weather Channel much today, but does anyone know if they sent anyone to do live coverage from Bermuda?
If they were capable of sending Jim Cantore there back in 2006 to cover Hurricane Florence which was only a Cat.1 then there should be no reason as to why they can't send someone there for Gonzalo which is a Major Hurricane.
