That data still suggests an intensity of 105 or 110 kt.

not the shear that got Gonzalo. It is the endless eyewall replacements that have done it in in terms of an extreme intensity

Fascinating. This is getting in one more ERC and at this point looks like it's thickening its main eyewall really well and intensifying again.

Also unfortunately it looks like the eye will make a direct hit or pass just west of the island. Either will be devastating. Every one stay safe there!

Yeah, I have been checking the Port Bermuda Webcam frequently and conditions are deteriorating rapidly there currently. They are already experiencing tropical storm force winds as well.

My prayers to everyone there in Bermuda as a direct impact is imminent. Pray everyone is as safe as can be there.

Where exactly on the island is Port Bermuda? Although it looks pretty windy, I don't think the strength is quite up to TS force yet. This page reported winds of 29 mph at 11 AM, as shown below:

abajan if you look at the map under the web cam you should see a blue and a cyan diamond. The cyan diamond is the tugboat you see in the webcam.

So seems to be looking generally south east towards Spanish Point.
