Although it is just a cyclonic storm, its large and deep convection is affecting Bangladesh severely.

Storm made landfall, deaths up to 8 now in Bangladesh, about 1 million people were moved in to evacuation cyclone shelters ahead of the storm. Lets hope this helps.

Apparently naming the cyclone Mahasen caused a huge controversy in Sri Lanka.
