Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't subtropical systems not counted towards ACE?

That's a good question...After looking through the forum, I found this thread.

NOAA doesn't count ACE units for Subtropical systems but some private firms do count. One of them is Dr Ryan Maue who owns the website below and adding the ACE for this storm to the overall 2014 typhoon season numbers...
