That site has it's pluses and it's minuses. It really doesn't have any good satellite channel options like the SSD one. I really like the RGB and the rainbow.

There's nothing at those coordinates...
Those silly gooses...
Edit: It looks like they are following the center of the old upper low or something.

I also am going crazy with the satellite loop problems. Been going on since yesterday evening for me. Really annoying.

The low level circ is no longer discernible and from their rule change a couple years ago they re classify them.

With this in mind, can the NHC reuse the name "Chantal"?

It won't cause confusion to the everyday person who stumbles on the weather channel, but to weather enthusiast its confusing and naming something something else doesn't change the entity

Yes,kinda strange as NRL has no change yet. Let's see in the next few minutes if they do so. I don't want to think that they will consider this 96L as Dorian if it redevelops.

Would be crazy if this became Dorian when it's really Chantal, lol.

Edited to fix spelling of Dorian

One could make a case for a separate entity but most would agree that Dorian would become another name-waster from NHC. Mabye the number of named cyclones is not very important anymore; rather the ACE is a more accurate measurement.

I took the Remnants of Chantal off the title until there is more clarity about this.

All the headers if this gets renamed should be Chantal\Dorian as it would be the same entity
Heres my opinion on this right now, it looks like its starting to become more organized so it wouldn't surprise me at all to see a tropical storm again by tomorrow night
