How fast can they organize a recon mission? I really thought they really should have investigated this system this afternoon as it looks to be getting its act together quickly.

I think this is the first time since I've been on S2K that I remember them running dual-flights in one day! Did they even do this with Katrina or Wilma?

I think Katrina had 3 planes in it at the same time while it was approaching NOLA.

Unless they mention it in the Atlantic Tropical Weather Outlook, if they make the decision in time, if it is an Air Force mission you probably will not find out until the Plan of the Day is released. For NOAA missions, you might find out sooner through their blog or social media:

For Airforce missions, it is not imperative that the public finds out that they are canceled...9 times out of 10 you will only find out through the TCPOD. A bit annoying, eh?

Also, if you put the TCPOD into "Code" instead of "Quote", it will separate the missions. But you cannot use any of the extras (bold, italicize, or underline).
