ADT 8.1.4 and 8.2.1 are finding different eye temps strangely enough, with 8.1.4 consistently finding slightly cooler values. They're each analyzing in 30 minute intervals but offset by 15 minutes, so that's kinda weird.

8.1.4 is using GOES-15 while 8.2.1 is using GOES-13 and the latter is more close to be accurate. That's also one of the reason why 8.2.1 has higher numbers

Just cannot get enough of that eye. It just keeps shrinking.

I am really beginning to think that Recon may find Patricia at a minimum 175 kt. That would be simply be mind blowing, but looking at satellite presentation at the moment, I think Patricia is still in strengthening phase as crazy as that is given how intense she is right now. It is very possible we could see historic data from Recon in just a short time from now when they arrive.
Also, given how tremendously intense this monster is, I pray for the crew of this current Reconnaisance mission en route. The turbulance will be unimaginable.
Just WOW!! I am just tremendously awestruck with this tropical cyclone folks! Can't say this enough.

NEVER, EVER SAY NEVER in the tropics and weather in general, and most importantly, with life itself!!

Just unreal. It's hard to fathom that this went from just a cluster of storms on Monday to this... hard to imagine something so huge and potentially cataclysmic can just come out of relative nowhere and be gone within a week. Almost definitely going to give Rick and Linda a run for their money... two storms which, ironically enough, are on the very same name list that Patricia is. (In fact Rick is the next name on the Pacific list this year) Actually, honestly, just judging by satellite presentation, I'd not at all be shocked if recon finds this stronger than both.
Can't say I have EVER seen a satellite presentation anything like this in the EPAC... and those that were somewhat close, were not threatening land. Patricia of course is going to... and I fear we may well have a stronger landfall than Kenna pending internal structural changes.

Not a meteorologist, in fact more of an idiot than anything. You should probably check with the NHC or a local NWS office for official information.

Welp.. I am just in awe with this storm. What an impressive, and I mean impressive, storm. I really hope those down in Mexico are prepared. Many prayers being sent their way. I can't wait to see what the Recon data shows. I won't be sleeping anytime soon. What a historical event we are seeing. Just sucks it is going to smack right into a populated part of Mexico that hasn't seen anything of this magnitude before.

Yeah I'm definitely staying up for recon, no matter how early I have to be up in the morning. The data may well be once in a lifetime stuff and I want to be there when it comes in.

After looking at the latest Coriolis and F17 passes, I'd be surprised if eyewall replacement doesn't start by the morning. Recon really might be hitting the sweet spot.

I think it is very comparable to what Wilma's pinhole eye was, which was only 2 miles in diameter if my memory serves me right. Patricia imo is probably approaching that with her eye currently, another sure sign that she is still bombing folks!! Just WOW!!

Glad we're getting recon into the storm but I almost wonder if they might get there just a little after its most impressive intensity. Either way I'm sure they can extrapolate based on what they find compared to the structure earlier... if there is any sort of precedent for estimation with a structure that phenomenal.
