Larry, I have received a total of over 8 inches of rainfall at my location for the past week, which includes the rain totals measured here up to 6 a.m. this morning. There are areas in eastern and southeastern portions closer to the coast in Duval county that has received 10 -12 inches over the past week. It is still raining heavy in the Jax area this morning as the sheared broad 1010 mb baroclinic Low Pressure area just east of Saint Augustine continues to send bands of rain onshore. The NWS office in Jax.reported earlier this morning that a wind gust of up to 44 mph was observed out at the Jacksonville Beach pier. If it were not for the 20-30 kt south'southwest shear over this Low , we may have had a chance of seeing a subtropical/ tropical depression or minimal storm with this feature just off the coast of Northeast Florida.

The broad Low shows up very nicely this morning on Jax radar and is barely moving, with
maybe a very slow drift northwest. It is expected to move inland by late today into tonight over the Georgia coast. But, regardless, more heavy rain still is in the cards for the Jax area and coastal region today and I expect flood watches/warnings may be needed as well.

Convection continues to be generating about 60 miles ESE of Brunswick. The LLC appears to be centered now ~40 miles E of the GA/FL border just WSW of that convection. Buoys 41004 and 41008 have had gusts near 30 knots at times. Steady rains now in upper half of SE GA and in S SC. It is like a wintertime system in those areas with steady rains and relatively cool for the time of year in the high 60's to near 70.
