That's not an updated track. They only update the track at 5 and 11. That is an updated position though which proves what everyone has been saying...it's missing forecast points to the west.

Looks almost due west over the last 3 hours (maybe slightly WNW, about 280-300°).

Although this movement could delay the storm coming out of the carribean which could change the models.

NHC had Matthew's eye forecasted to move just east of the island. This new development of the cyclone moving past 74 Longitude nearly 12 hours ahead of schedule may move Mattew back to getting very close to the eye moving right over Jamaica.
