I was gonna go to bed early tonight and watch tv...but watching this run is better than anything on tv. Absolutely mind boggling.

Mind you we are now approaching fantasy land for the model...but all three top globals have hinted at a loop.

Hurricane Ivan.

This is pretty cool. No way this gets to 100 ACE Alyono. That's probably it for the tropics for a long time if so. Hahaha. Matthew would be an awesome time to break out the Thanks Obama meme, but no politics. So I guess the only good that's going to come out of this is that the East Coast and Bahamian Kingdom surfers should be having an absolute ball for the next week or so if the Big 3 verify. Next thing you know, the Canadian will show it too, and that would be the 4 major globals. And lo and behold, CMC is moving slightly SE with a weaker system in the 5 day range.

Looks like some tense days for the GA/SC Coast with a potential 4 or 5 coming right at you and hopefully deflecting. CMC does hit NC though.

Yes, it was Ivan. The remnants traveled up toward the mid-Atlantic, headed toward the southwest, crossed over South Florida as a disturbance, regenerated in the Gulf as a tropical storm which moved into Texas and Louisiana.

Can't even imagine the bahama islands and trying to clean up after Matthew...just to have it loop and hit them again? It's like a disaster film in the making.

What's great is that unlike this afternoon's Euro, the GFS goes out to 384 so we'll spend another 30-40 minutes watching where this ends up.
