NWS

IR satellite loop still shows active convection over the Marshall
Islands, associated with a tropical disturbance there. Models do
not depict a circulation in the area as was seen yesterday. Visible
imagery later this morning may shed light on what is there in the
lower levels of the atmosphere. Winds have decreased at Majuro, but
remain gusty from the south to southwest at Kwajalein. A weaker
disturbance southwest of Pohnpei is generating isolated showers
and thunderstorms near Pohnpei and Chuuk.

Model guidance still shows both disturbances weakening as they
shift westward today and tomorrow. However, the main concern will
be winds and weather associated with the disturbance over the
Marshall Islands.
