GFS looks slower than the Euro at H72

18z is slightly south of the 12z so far out to 66-72 hours. also the truough is faster ..

I'm worried that trough is going to lift out and leave Irma behind for the ridge.

position is identical at 84 hrs.. but the trough is slightly faster maybe 4 hours ish faster.

yeah, so far irma is only slightly slower at 96 hours. with the trough a little faster.

The trough may pull her a little more northward, so if the ridge builds in, she may already be far enough north that she wont affect florida
