I'm not sure you want to be in a basement given how much rain this is about to dump on people's heads. If you are, you need to be prepared to move up away from rising flood waters. Wind can kill you, but water will kill you.

Indeed. It all depends on where you are, hence my mention about the surge zone. Guess I should have included "flood/surge" zone in that.

No, you're fine. I am just want to see a death toll of 0 when this is all said and done. Houses, at the end of the day, can be fixed. People cannot. Storm chaser Jeff Pitrowski was in Rockport, I believe, and was live. Lines were coming down all around and he didn't have much cover. Suddenly it went off line, probably cell tower, but keep him in your prayers.
