So Irma is going through yet another ERC, but IR is cooling, so it'll likely be a quick one cause she's intensifying again.

Regular or not I don't think it will make a real difference for the NE Islands. I looked over the histories of both Luis and Donna the worst to hit Anguilla. Irma seems to be in its own class.

Yep. Looking more like a "regular" cat 5. Maybe even a cat 4 by morning. Let's see how efficient the EWRC is.

No reason for it to not RI immediately after, however.

I wouldn't be surprised if it makes a run at sub-900mb afterwards.

leanne_uk wrote:Hey guys,
I have quite a few friends over in the UK who have Family and friends in Disney at the moment. All of them are there until at least next week and are incredibly worried about Irma as you can imagine.
Most are staying in the resort hotels and 2 off them are in Villas not too far away from the resort.
Could anyone give me a rough idea of what they could be expecting from Irma.... I know it is days away and they are so many variables right now but any help would be greatly appreciated.
Too early to tell. Best guess now, based on current forecast, is Orlando would experience solid hurricane force winds and a lot of power outages. Think Charley but over a wider area. This, of course, may change between now and then, but it's looking like the Orlando area will be at least impacted.

How extreme of an impact will Irma be on the Leeward Islands?

Re: ATL: IRMA - Hurricane - Discussion
Appreciate that this shows clearly the islands in the Northern Leewards that are facing such danger from Irma
