This tweet needs to be stressed. EVERYONE on the U.S. East Coast hopefully are keeping a vigilant watch! The southward trends continue, which really is a very concerning for sure!

I asked this question a day or so ago. Just looked at the plan of the day for tomorrow and the Gulfstream is scheduled to make a synoptic surveillance mission Saturday evening. This should help greatly with the strength of the ridge to the north of Florence......MGC

Well, from your quote Sept 10 at 0z is the evening of the 9th, which is Sunday. But, looking at the plan, I think you meant to quote this part, so it would indeed be Saturday evening.

GFS 18z should probably begin the debate about how many shifts we will continue to see for the next 3 days.

I mean even the IRS allow people to do income averaging, right? Why can't we just spread all these systems out just a little bit. Heck, at one a month we'd have something to watch and talk about well into Winter :cheesy:

Am I wrong in seeing that the ridge is flattening more E-W on that image?

Someone earlier in one of the threads said to watch and see if the ridge flattened more E-W. I don't remember who is was though...
