Just watched a couple of news crews leaving across the bridge out of Panama City.

Bridge to close soon.

I’m in a safe place no way though I’d be in a house.

Although I have been a hurricane forecaster since 1980 that only means I've been wrong lots of times.

The furthest far flung band from the venting process of Michael is just off my coast on the Treasure Coast. What a storm :double:

Seeing lightning strikes on the inner eyewall / eye edge.
Must be wind-induced friction creating a charge build up.

It will be landfalling almost exactly low tide, which is a huge blessing.

We are due west of you about 90 miles. Still haven't had a drop of rain from any "train" Bands. I want some, tho.

Maybe later....

Eye is beginning to torch per ADT
It's now at double digit positive
16.86°C - highest in its whole lifetime.
(Kongrey would still laugh at that temp though)

For sure, any help is welcome given this hurricane that is about to landfall.

This will be an extremely powerful and strong 4 at landfall, I think the time has passed for it to reach 5 though.

Bold statement with recon literally entering the NE quadrant as I type this! We could very well find that it is Cat 5 right now.
