This may end up being one of those canes where the maximum force winds only extend out 20 miles from the center. *If it does make it to hurricane status* So tiny. Guess it could expand in size...but moving at 16mph , won't have much time. Although there does seem to be quite a bit on the east side with all that banding...ts winds could end up being well East of the center for many miles.

If it was closed.. still think it's open on SE to east side of coc.

I see no evidence that it's open to the SE. Radar definitely shows it's closed.

My posts are my own personal opinion, defer to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) and other NOAA products for decision making during hurricane season.

There is some shear just outside of the CoC to the South. 20 miles? Thats about to affect the CoC, will see what happens. It's coming up from south and if you zoom in you can see it approaching CoC

Can't be plunking folks on the ground with dropsondes.

Lol. What I’m saying is they don’t have to drop them. They can rely on SFMR.

SFMR, as far as I know, relies on wave effects.

Yup. The pattern shifted with more sustained easterly winds blowing it out to see, this will sweep a lot of it to the west and northwest which does not break our hearts at all.

I'm digging the cmc right now, in the next 24-48 hrs we will see rapid intensification and possibly a more westerly track

Will see soon Recon inbound to center! Going with 1006mb. Would be shocked if below 1000mb, just means RI is happening with inner core?
