No way this is 85 knots right now. Winds look much stronger then when Florence made landfall. With those winds it might be a category 3 right now. Maybe higher.

This is just my thoughts.

Winds shifting to easterly to southeasterly right now; seem to have increased further.

Definitely the worst storm I've ever experienced, and perhaps the worst storm for the city since Hope in 1979 or Ellen in 1983.

Macau is getting inner eyewall right now. Looks like landfall will be slightly east of predicted.

Macau is now facing storm surge as severe as Typhoon Hato last year.

Man, it looks like it jogged north, and Macao is the landfall! Going by HK radar.

Sandy was a big cat1 @ landfall with huge surge = to a major storm.

That's a nine foot or so surge?!

Checking wiki, Typhoon Hato generated a 2.5m surge, so that's still within a range...
