Tons of eyewall lightning.
Core temp has been dropping this morning with associated drop in dewpoint.
Therefore, no foreseeable EWRC at this time and high likelihood intensification continues.
UL conditions are improving quickly.

Seeing two massive counter-rotating towers on WV obscuring the eye.

lived in sofla since 83....gone thru a few and still have my condo in Weston while I work up in DC. Worked all the folding shutters this summer and changed locks to no keys required!!...sprayed and cleaned them...got neighbors reaching out to me now about broken locks and such. Never changes. AC guy on way over to check it out so friends can use it that live farther east and or north. See lot of the ol '-removed-' and thinking back when Neil Frank and others would always say "watch the water vapor"....Andrew came in 55 miles south of me thru the Bahamas....Wilma camped out over me....and I just donated to S2k for all the great work they do....

Be safe...and take care of each other....

Now back to the wv loops....grin

Not sure if our next recon flight is having issues and headed back to base or is just having to change flight trajectory due to daytime convection over north FL:

Long term motion still looks like a solid WNW to me, probably close to 300 or so which is about where the GFS expects. Of course just a few hints that it has bent slightly more to north of west in the last hour but we will see.

Should be close to crossing Hurricane Andrews track at 25.5N 72.5 W. That is also the same point Andrew became a major hurricane.

Will we see a track adjustment possibly or is that only the 11 and 5 ones?

A perfect case of "another man's trash -- another man's treasure" that you're liking today's north trends. I was loving yesterday's south trends!!

Yep looks like its strengthening still, hardly a surprise given the improved presentation this afternoon.
