I don’t think so yet. The ERC is inevitable, but with a core that well formed I doubt it’s even close to strong enough to flatten the gradient. Wilma peaked while the outer eyewall was complete.

I'd like future recon planes to have jet engines that fly at 900 mph! That would be awesome to have the planes the size of the current fleet with that kind of speed. It would cover far more distance a lot faster.

You can see an outer eyewall in that?

Yeah 8.1 is crazy. But I've never seen the CI constrained this long.

Holy jeez, look at all that eyewall lightning! And the CDO is just as cold as Goni's!

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

The eye continues to shrink, and somehow convection is still deepening

Is it just me or has the eye contracted significantly in the past few frames of the IR loop?? Do you think its an ERC or just it intensifying more??

Not an meteorologist! Just someone who is interested in weather. Please refer to the NHC and local weather officials to make decisions.

Winter 2020-2021 :cold:

All observations are in Tecumseh, OK unless otherwise noted.

Winter posts are focused mainly for Oklahoma & Texas.

Take any of my forecasts with a grain of salt, refer to the NWS, SPC, and NHC for official information

It's going to be 3 1/2 hours before the CI can be 7.0.

I am only a tropical weather enthusiast. My predictions are not official and may or may not be backed by sound meteorological data. For official information, please refer to the NHC and NWS products.

Man, seems like Eta will close in on 14N in a couple hours, NHC says it will be 24 hours before that happens...

Starting to see some blue pixels in the eye on WV. Let's see if Eta can get to an orange eye.
