Welcome to Gulf Breeze Aric!

Aric Dunn wrote:Morning all. I am in Gulfbreeze currently. will probabyl head west a little more today and probably end up somewhere near Mobile.

I will be streaming later as the eyewall approaches.

Update from Gulbreeze... life appears to be moving along like there is no hurricane offshore at all. People everywhere driving around, eating in restaraunts etc..all while some very heavy squalls gusting over 50 mph in some cases, swinging through with rotating meso vorts....

Aside from Hanna and maybe Laura, storms and even invests this season have been so stop and go. They'll pull it together real fast and look like they're going to run over all the forecasts, then they'll turn stagnant for a while. And then just as everyone gets bearish on them, they'll pull it together. Seems like Sally might be on the second phase now.

Sally has a pretty broad swath of TS winds, as indicated by recon. TS flight level winds are being found well west of the system, covering a good chunk of the panhandle

I didn't. I wish I would've went outside. I did use it as an opportunity to compare my ambient sensor data at my house to their instruments. Pretty cool :)

Starting to see some wind now . . . Nothing steady, but outbursts of some fairly nice little gusts.

I'm on the other side of the Bay about 2 miles as a bird flies from the Gulf in Miramar Bch just East of Destin. Safe travels!

Gotcha..the Bay is rockin’ and rolling

Weather over here is significantly tougher than over in Panama City. Have a couple customers seee in FWB then turning around and headed back home.

Well you're very close to my family then. I am very concerned about beach erosion here. Looking at webcams the waves are almost to dunes and we still have a whole day to go. This is not a good situation at all for beaches. The beach just keeps getting pushed back and they have to artificially replace after Opal, Ivan, and Dennis. Our area is prone to that unfortunately.

Pressures down to 977mb per recon.

My posts are my own personal opinion, defer to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) and other NOAA products for decision making during hurricane season.

I was just told that the Weather Channel said she is moving NNE now. If that is so my post from last night about ones heading towards Mobile always turning east of us late in the game holds true once again.

Well nevermind . . 10 AM no change

If confirmed, that...is alarming.
