Yeah if it shifts significantly more west they'll extend those watches into Broward and Miami Dade counties. As far as impacts, we don't know yet. Broward could get anything from a light breeze to cat 2 hurricane conditions.
Just returned from the gas station with my Genny fuel, people were there filling up the gas cans.

They were foolish calling the all clear in this setup. Oh well, there is time to prepare.

There’s a white tint in the sky with very little cloud coverage except if you look west here in NE Palm Beach County thanks to the SAL.

I'm at 45 gallons treated and stored away. Fully prepared since the end of May. I usually do that every year but this year I went the extra mile. Gonna be a long season.

I filled up my gas tank last night. Usual amount of activity at the station. I'll check on some gas stations in Hollywood when I go get some lunch.

I'm also now mentally preparing myself for the possibility of putting up some shutters tonight...

I’m not quite ready for shutters yet. I still have a few up from Dorian lol so it won’t be too hard.

If this motion continues the rest of the afternoon and they go with a hurricane watch/warning...the shutters will have to go up, I don't think they have ever been up this early at my place

A bit irresponsible of them...though Orlando likely wont see too much. Their viewers in Brevard however need to be prepared.

SpaceX wanted to bring back tbe astronauts on the 2nd from the ISS to complete the crew Demo-2 mission. Thats not going to happen.

I work in the Stuart/Palm City area, but live in WPB. After the 11am, I figured I'd go fill up the truck now instead of waiting till 5:30 or so when I was back in PBC after panic mode has set in for people after the 5PM news. Good news is I still have 20 gallons in the garage from last season (if needed) for the generator. No lines in Palm City at the moment. One other guy filling up cans was all I saw.

Meanwhile Isaias keeps chugging WNW and IMO moving slightly SW of 11am track.

Power source was never cut off. This is just a system battling westerly shear. Perfectly normal for blow ups of convection over the center just for them to be blown away again. Center is already starting to become exposed again as we speak.

be careful with that gas from last season unless you treated it, 3-6 months max if its in a sealed container....if you arent sure, get rid of it and start fresh, no need to damage your genny, gas is cheap these days

Recon seems to be turning around for one final pass. They found the center quite further NW than before.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

I believe the watches begin at Deerfield Beach and north which is in Broward County.

Thank you for your replies. I know DBC is in Broward County, but that is right on the border with Palm Beach county, so I was wondering more for Central Broward (like the Coral Springs area going down).
