Yes the inner core is indeed closing off now and has been gradually doing so recently.

This goes along with the drop in pressure. Providing shear doesn't increase and force mid level dry air into the system over the next 12-24hrs, a major isn't out of the question.

However, seen many a system look good at one point then the above knocks the stuffing out of it, so something to keep an eye on.

At the moment, trends are bad for Florida.

Nice to see you KWT! Yeah trends are not good for South Florida. The good news is that there is some dry air and shear around Florida to keep the storm from getting real strong hopefully,

Shear is def still present... you can see the very healthy cirrus outflow expanding to the North and then it just...stops when you get to the Western edge of the storm. Hopefully this + SAL will keep Isaias in check

Looks like it took in a little bit of dry air but I think it's mixing it out. Hot towers firing again near the center.

Really wish we weren’t about to lose visible sat as it’s starting to strengthen.

Radar suggests that eyewall is falling apart. That was quick. Dry air and shear should keep it in check. Anyone have the chances of RI from SHIPS? It has got to be near 0.

No hurricane watch for Broward and Miami-Dade? Thought it would at least extend down to Broward.

There is one for Broward, not Miami-Dade.

Ok that make sense. Looping the visible loop, don’t see much shear right now. Some dry air but the storm looks to be intensifying and not gaining a lot of latitude:

Looks like some dry air got in the center but the eyewall is recovering quickly

In Pembroke Pines, not under a hurricane watch. A friend in Pompano is though, looks like only part of Broward.

I would wager Miami gets a watch at 11, simply because those conditions can't be definitively ruled out at this point, and those conditions would be in roughly 24 hours.

It's a coastal watch through Hallandale Beach.

I do wonder if the little burp it had may help it a little. The eye looks to be redeveloping smaller than before. Just my amateur opinion though!!
