I saw that west wobble also. I wondered if it was a wobble or a trend.

Don't sweat it Drew. I agree with Gator on that. You always contribute stuff I like to read.

Dean,

Not on life support. Check the models thread. It's temporary. Storms will blossom - possibly twice before morning per trusted-by-me HRRR.

At least now if it decides to blow off new convection it will do so in radar range and we can observe it.

It hit me in Sunrise about 5 minutes ago.

You are all right :D no reason to play victim or let a few bad apples get me down. Sorry to make it about me anyway! To bring it around back on topic - brutally hot here in Orlando. Afternoon clouds are just starting to build now. Feels like one of the hottest days of the year. I've been here for all my 35 years and it's always a little more pleasant when a storm is near. Cooler temps and "calm before the storm" feeling that I've always attributed to the lowering pressure (loose at best scientific data to back this up). Anyway, all of that is missing today - feels very much like a normal, hot, summer day.

You must be in another part of Boca then. I'm in east boca and nada. Actually see the sky right in over me.

Yes SE corner almost to Deerfield. Some rain and wind gusts, nothing crazy yet.

I'm also in the SE corner, close to a1a. That band 10 minutes ago had some 35 ish mph gusts. Now completely calm.

I literally said this a couple of hours ago. If you just got dropped off by a spaceship and checked out this bird's eye view .... you would yawn

Windfield is still ways offshore. Might look different if this decoupling continues. Could get further west if it stays weaker.

just noticed some convection stating to pop directly north of the center, but west of where the convection has been consolidating much of the day. may this is the beginning of the convective comeback if it can wrap in? or is it shear induced?

Vigorous circulation ... but convection decapitated. I had expected some to rebuild once Isaias got back over water but so far? Nope. Will likely spin down gradually unless some storms can rebuild soon

3 cheers to subsidence and convective inhibition around the periphery of a tropical system. Sunny and 96 in tampa right now. Time to hit the beach 8-)

Just heard weather channel refer to this as "covidcane" and "coronacane".

^^ While I agree with McNoldy, it's not really appropriate to try to make that point with an afternoon IR photo. He'll change his tune in several hours. Look at the high res visible, it's much more telling.

Recon will be there soon, just made it offshore of Florida.

Clearly not a hurricane anymore, and unless an incredible burst of storms happen around the LLC in the next hour, the NHC will be forced to downgrade.

I am very anxious to see what the pressure is up to, recon will tell us shortly.

I still think they will keep the hurricane warnings given there is still the potential for Isaias to restrengthen before possibly making landfall. The Euro shows this scenerio when its just off the Space Coast.

Convection will come back tonight. I would bet on it.
