Yep its totally naked with strong southwestern shear. Slim chance of hurricane status today. The models thus far have been struggling with this one. I'm getting all the way on the Mississippi coast because of the shear.

I am in no way a professional. Take what I say with a grain of salt as I could be totally wrong. Please refer to the NHC, NWS, or SPC for official information.

An area of very high updraft is firing two to three cells.
Comes from the interaction of the vertical shear, dryline, and cold pool.
Cells seem to be closing in on the swirl.

well I trust science, and what I'm seeing, is hype on this one

Well let's see this science you speak so we can see the samething as you do. Many people that come to this site want accurate info not just one liners with no detail/proof of what you are talking about.

Water temps below 80 degrees? Where are you getting this? NHC has it becoming a hurricane, hard to go against them.

Water temps below 80??? I don’t expect Beta to strengthen much, but that’s pretty bold to use wrong facts and to support your absolute claim that this won’t intensify.

Closest cell starting to fire heavy lightning.
Could turn into a vortical hot tower.

He’s citing some shallow bay readings. Gulf still 83-85 in area this will be traversing.

I see the center did recloate to the north more. 26.5n ish.

but also that the boundary broke down sooner than expect with the dry air and also the shear analysis was obviously off. lol

also appears to just be sitting there... still a lot of curve balls to come it appears. bit of a precarious position it is in.

PV southern end seems to have broken off, maybe forming a small cut off Low.

I think this guy needs a disclaimer for his posts. Use to be a requirement when posting opinions. Maybe I am wrong. So correct me if that is the case.
