It looks like something you'd expect to be a tc in 48 hours near the peak of a busy season.

Looks like a decent tower just went up (red cold spot surrounded by the warmer blues below).

Tracking with an upper level anticyclone is not the worst environment in the world, other than the dry air around it.

That sustained tower under the MLC is very likely where an well defined LLC is coming together.

In my perfect world there would be brokers offering bets where the LLC will form.
Although it would probably just result in me losing a lot of money.

I was just looking at that. Looks to be deepening and staying well south more than hwrf. Lol, the gfs ends somewhere half way down South America

Convection is a bit more popcorn-y but the overall structure looks primed to develop into a TC.

Showers and thunderstorms continue to shows some signs of
organization in association with a tropical wave and broad area of
low pressure over the eastern Caribbean Sea. Environmental
conditions are expected to gradually become more conducive for
development, and a tropical depression is likely to form during the
next day or two while the system moves moves westward at about 15
mph. Interests in Jamaica, Honduras, Belize, Guatemala and the
Yucatan peninsula should monitor the progress of this disturbance.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...high...70 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...high...80 percent.

This is definitely developing and will probably be a tropical storm (presumably Nana) by this time tomorrow.

Looks like we have a LLC under that convection.

distinct inflow line on the SE side. thin extending SE to NW.

likely see a TD/TS tomorrow.

Well, that area is certainly where the popcorns are "popping".

This one is going to be travelling over some of the highest OHC in the Atlantic. If it gets organized quick enough then we may have a very mean grandma on our hands :lol: (assuming 90L doesn't steal Nana first)

I am in no way a professional. Take what I say with a grain of salt as I could be totally wrong. Please refer to the NHC, NWS, or SPC for official information.

The convection is increasing at a seemingly higher latitude than where the NHC "X" is.

If there was an LLC looks like it had weakened before the convection refiring this evening.
