There is no wobble occurring right now. Probably an illusion with sun setting and a shadow is appearing on the western eyewall

There is on the 6.9 but just a wobble and not very nice..

The "shear" that was forecast might end up providing some more fuel to the storm through divergence.

I was reading in here that there are chasers in Cameron, LA. just pulled it up on Google and between Cameron and Holley beach both look like a death trap.

All powerful hurricanes like this "wobble." It's called a trochoidal loop pattern.

Muggy and light winds here in Lake Charles. Two bands came through.

This parking garage on Lakeshore and Broad is one of two vehicle structures that can provide vehicle safety. There is a private garage next door that can also be used.

Tell any chasers they stopped letting them in. But I made friends with security and they will leave gate open this evening. Told them the chasers are good people.

Expecting 10-15 ft of water at this garage. It is 60 ft tall.

Many people chose not to leave all around here. This is going to be deadly as we know.

If that happens, then the chances of reaching Cat 5 would almost be certain.

I am really getting concerned about the potential loss of life near the landfall. I'm hearing from some local sources that more people have decided to ride this storm out despite mandatory evacuations in place. I hope that this is wrong because a lot of those people will not survive the night. Even NWS is saying its unsurvible SMDH :double:

Yea this is really feeding off those deep warm waters near 90 degrees! And what is going on in the nw Caribbean? Lots of thunderstorm activity down there!

It's up with the top satellite looking Atlantic storms of all times. In the future, people will always run the loop from Cuba to landfall. As for the Caribbean, I haven't been paying attention. I thought I saw a yellow genesis thing somewhere earlier, but I went to the NHC's site and they don't have anything on their map. I've been fully distracted by Laura.

Of note is that band that's been southwest of me all day must have thrown off 25-30 tornado warnings and like 10 in the last 25 minutes. Those outer bands where the instability is just rolling, spinning, and rotating throws those things off. I'm sure a lot of the spins are in the low levels moreso than touch down, but I think I remember Isaias spawning an F3 or so a couple weeks ago. So it' s not all F0 or F1 all the time in hurricanes. As far as Laura is away, I do expect us to see a couple bands rotate through. I'm hoping for a gust of 45 or so later on and maybe a small chance of some TS winds. We're in that 40-50% bright yellow ring for TS winds at NHC..

Tornado warnings on outer band.

I noticed that too. Nothing nefarious, I am sure. I know they are in constant contact with NHC folks...

Chasing in Cameron is a death sentence.

There is nowhere to hide out here when chasing except where I am at right now.

If you are chasing and read this please come now to Lakeshore and Broad in Lake Charles. Now. You WILL have exit paths blocked by surge very soon.

I’m listening to the livestream of the Lake Charles CBS station. They are pleading with people to get out of Cameron Parish cause the whole thing is going under.

That's more like a suicide mission than a chase...
