Surprisingly, beta is actually looking pretty good on Houston radar. Quite the inner core, at least at the mid levels

I think we’ll get Beta-looking Greek storms than this later this season.

However, I’m pretty sure we’ll get another system that even more infuriating to track.

Much of the radar velocity bins are range folded right now, but in the few that aren’t, I am seeing 85-90mph. If those are reliable, that’s a huge jump from even an hour ago

What area is that?

The Northern Gulf of Mexico coastal region, in particularly SE Texas to South Alabama. Laura and Sally both affected that area.

What about SW Louisiana - have you seen the pictures of the damage?

Finally getting a rain band coming through Splendora in SE Montgomery county. After all the high temps, the rain and cool temps forced me to put on some jeans. Will we get killed with 100°temps after this moves through?

Center jumped under the radar feature it seems according to recon. If this continues we may get a brief hurricane Beta but we’ll see.
