Looking at HGX radar on long range, maybe 10 to 15 minutes. Guessing, can't figure out exactly where Reed (I mean the Mini-Dominator) is vs. the error in actual location caused by the distance.

Still riding this out, less than 60 miles from the eastern eyewall here and getting the strongest gusts of the night. No power since 1am but at least we got out of that intense band it was getting hairy for my house around 2am. I can't even imagine what we'll see when we wake up. I've seen so much lightning tonight as well.

ConvergenceZone wrote:I know this isn’t mentioned much. But I also feel so bad for the animals. They were showing someone on the weather channel reporting from Cameron and you could see dozens and dozens of cattle in the field, and just knowing they will probably all be dead by tomorrow at this time I’d very sad. Jim Cantore also mentioned the timber and cattle loss on his tweet as well

Starting to look like they may make it after all

Starting to hear the roar of the approaching eyewall on Reed's, I mean the Hailinator's stream.

One more thing, the smell of seawater has been unmistakable all night. We've probably had over 10" of rain since 10pm but my weatherflow is down with no power.

Getting our highest winds so far here (near downtown Lafayette). Power has flickered a few times but stayed on. Big roaring gusts now. About 40 minutes ago heard something that sounded like a low flying jet, but didn't feel any stronger winds hitting my building... maybe a nearby tornado?

Radar showing it's still going to be a while before this clears Cameron. Praying for those souls who "rode it out" before I get some sleep.

Looked at Jeff's stream. That building, I think it's the Chase building, was all glass. He's reporting 125 mph and flying glass. Amazing damage. Good night.

I just saw the black suv with the lights on top approach Reed's car while the camera feed filmed it.

It is still ripping here, strongest gusts of the night. I've been watching power flashes on the back porch for a while now.

I was watching his You Tube feed again. It went down as he drove down through the garage and then came back up when he got to the bottom.
