Seems like they all missed the mark on surge predictions of 3-5 feet.. currently Shell Beach 7.55 feet, Bay St Louis 7.3 feet, and I estimated my area in west Biloxi of 7 feet or so...and this is all during a falling tide.. high tide today was around noon...

Yeah that's off quite a bit. These big, large wind field storms seem to always overperform on storm tides even though max winds only 50 mph or so.

I think (?) we are somewhat within the overall circulation. Really really really glad this wasn’t strong as we would have had a lot of interaction with the inner core had it behaved the same. Waiting to see what’s next.

Not that I doubt you, but do you mind linking a site where you found those readings? I've been struggling the past few minutes to find surge readings.

Thank you! Hope you're staying safe despite the surge, wind, and rain.

The effects are being felt pretty far east. Lost power here in Pensacola. Minor coastal flooding on the beach and bay side. Awaiting this next band.

Flash flood warnings are up near Perry and Lake City. The bands have been training over the same area for about 36 hours now.

In the sunshine now with clouds ene, so that’s your boy’s second center I’ve been awake for. Haha. Big circulation so again I’m glad this wasn’t strong because we’ve been in and around that circulation for a while. I grabbed a picture of the sky which hopefully I can post in the reports thread after the other phone recharges. Winds should flip in about an hour but are still mostly East.

I mean, it's had the classic TS features, just been running around topless. Not sure if you're referring to the mesovortex running around the Mississippi River delta or not, but I'm not entirely sure the exact center has made its landfall, at least based upon what the NHC has been saying.
