2 systems and the potential genesis of a third in the span of a mere few days

Re: ATL: INVEST 91L - Discussion
The models that develop a MDR system within the next 5 days have this wave merge with the 10/60 AEW currently exiting the coast of Africa.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

If this becomes Paulette and the wave leaving Africa becomes Rene, then we'll have the R name already before the peak of hurricane season!

So it looks like the idea is this thing will stay stalled and the next wave will take this with it. That merge might even slow the whole thing down which most systems have had a problem doing and allow it to actually intensify in the MDR

I think to a lot of people it just feels like we should've had more hurricanes given the number of tropical storms we've had.
But it's barely September...we still have peak season to get through.

Yep, Peak 1 and Peak 2.
I'd rather endure a bunch of TS's or a few cat 1/2's than one Cat 4/5.

NHC forecasters has been absolutely trouncing the models this year. If they think this may be an independent system I will trust them.
