Yea I’m thinking this might have a better chance of dissipating into a remnant low and staying quite and low for a few days until it finds more favorable conditions more west and perhaps blow up into a disaster...

And nooooo! I’m not comparing to Harvey at all how silly of ya’ll to think that of me  :na:

Ok, I haven't been paying attention to this one at all. I know NHC is expecting him to become a remnant low sooner or later, but are the models showing it regaining strength further down the road?

There doesn’t look like much of any dry air ahead of it for the next couple of days at least not from what I could tell?
Can’t speak on how much shear, but considering how persistent storms have survived both, even Beta right now still battling thru, I still see how this could be a concern down the line if it can survive somewhat even as a remnant low...

Looking at satellite, a huge plume of SAL is coming down the pike directly behind Wilfred. Probably one reason they dropped the chances on the wave behind it.

Any wave exiting lower on the coast shouldn’t be affected by that dry air from the map I just viewed. I’m curious about this wave at 9N 17W... seems like it’s in a great position for a shot at sliding across into the Caribbean.

Trend with Wilfred's "final" (remnant low) forecast point seems to be further S and W with each advisory...I wouldn't sleep on him just yet.

For now, if the trough of low pressure stays intact, it could regenerate in the Caribbean.
