Tropical Weather Outlook
NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

A tropical wave located over the west-central Caribbean Sea is
producing a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms.
Conditions are expected to be conducive for development of this
system, and a tropical depression is likely to form over the
northwestern Caribbean Sea or the south-central Gulf of Mexico,
possibly before the system reaches the east coast of the Yucatan
Peninsula on Saturday. Interests in Belize, the Yucatan Peninsula
of Mexico, and western Cuba should monitor the progress of this
disturbance.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...40 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...high...70 percent.

Afternoon everyone,

Looks much better than a day ago no doubt. Is it just my eyes or is that a sign of a feeder band to the NW of the COC.

I have a feeling this will be another sneak attack storm that surprises us as it comes close to land.

So if anything more than an eddy spins up at the tail end of the front in the BOC it would be 92L?

My posts are my own personal opinion, defer to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) and other NOAA products for decision making during hurricane season.

Now you've jinxed it ;). In all seriousness I hope nothing bad happens, but this is one to watch out for, or otherwise the invest behind it.
