Flickered here in Pace as well. Still hanging on though. Gonna be lucky if we don't lose it. Wind is whipping.

Checking in.... all is well.. we had a lil water in the yard from the rain...lots of trees & power poles down.. many homes have roof damage including the old Montegut Baptist Church. There roof is in the middle of hwy.

Tomorrow we going to check around our 2 houses for any damages... we are without power & cell data is on & off. But we survived Zeta.

Same here. In the mountains on vacation and we have 50 plus gusts forecasted, 3 to 4 inches of rain. Worried with all the trees at the camp/cabin here

Its crazy, I live in sofla and I will have more tropical activity this season in NC than sofla.

So.... you are on vacation, where Zeta is forecast to affect your area there?...

Yes - came up to visit my elderly parents, social distancing with my own cabin. from the west coast of Florida without activity this season. South of Asheville and its raining since 5pm. For the first time in 30 years, we had a window table at Pisgah Inn Restaurant and it was thick fog and rain. But it was a better day than Tampa's 90 degree record heat. 57 up on the Blue Ridge Parkway today. No complaints with the weather here

Worry about the inland areas the most. Since Zeta's fast moving those gusty winds are going to go far. A lot of people are going to be surprised overnight.

I was expecting much worse in Thibodaux but it really didn’t get bad at all. Nothing worse then what we get in a heavy thunderstorm. Briefly lost power at the very end but it was only out for less then an hour. Counting my blessings that we don’t have any damage.

Almost as if it's intensifying over land.

Some good news is that there hasn't been much of a tornado outbreak with Zeta like we've seen with some other systems this year. No active warnings and only 2 reports per SPC

That IR loop is one of my favorites of the whole season, fast one. With it holding together so well is the pressure lowering like the Euro showed?

At this rate Zeta may end up to be the strongest tropical cyclone to ever hit Northern Georgia.

My ambient sensor here in Fort Walton just measured a peak wind gust of 53.7 mph with sustained just under tropical storm force. Surprisingly windy here given how far away Zeta is. My heat index has also risen almost 9 degrees since 700PM CDT.

I'm in Gulf Breeze. Our power went out about 8pm. Just came back on at 9:15. Hope it doesn't go out again. The winds are still pretty strong.

The way Zeta is holding together makes me think hurricane force winds may occur into Alabama as well. The wind risk assessments may need to be raised a bit at least into Georgia.

I was thinking they might be something like that but didn't think anyone would believe it. There will be damage tomorrow. Lost power for a little while but it came back on...knock on wood.

Last few frames of IR... Is Zeta trying to pull a 2020 power move and clear the eye out OVER LAND?
