Tropical Storm Warning Now, I'm on a mountain so 50 knots looks very possible. Charging everything and gassed up the car, just like home... :D

Fire up the generator shield jlauderdale!!! Stay safe up there in NC.

It's been steadily picking up. I think 70 sounds about right.

Trees down no power. Sounds like metal roof panels are loose

Wunderground is reporting 60 mph with gusts to 80 but I think it got higher than that. Lost a fence and have a big limb through another. Friend in Gulfport lost a huge tree.

This storm reminds me of when Wilma went through South Florida. The wind impacts were enhanced due to the forward speed and being pushed ahead of the front. The front alone packs a punch. You throw in a hurricane along the front and it's a double whammy.

Same here. In the mountains on vacation and we have 50 plus gusts forecasted, 3 to 4 inches of rain. Worried with all the trees at the camp/cabin here

Its crazy, I live in sofla and I will have more tropical activity this season in NC than sofla.

So.... you are on vacation, where Zeta is forecast to affect your area there?...
Yep, looking for some nice fall weather...its been wet, foggy and now going to get windy.

Getting more worried for north central gulf coast. Do not want to think of the possible worse than expected damage daylight may show....hope those inland along the forecast track are prepared for some possible serious wind impact

Grand Isle was one of the first places put under mandatory evacuation.

Yeah Nimbus....I had thought the residents were ordered out of harm's way, I'm not familiar with Grand Isle, and whenever I hear of levee breaches, my concern is what, if any dangers it poses...
