Same here. In the mountains on vacation and we have 50 plus gusts forecasted, 3 to 4 inches of rain. Worried with all the trees at the camp/cabin here

How fast was Zeta moving in the gulf? I know it was fast, i think it was 24mph. Nate's record in the gulf is 29mph so I don't think it quite got there.

I am in no way a professional. Take what I say with a grain of salt as I could be totally wrong. Please refer to the NHC, NWS, or SPC for official information.

Lost power about 30 minutes ago during eyewall in Slidell. Walked around property and have 2 trees down. Surprisingly the tide is lower than earlier today.

Thus far *relatively* calm in Mobile County versus elsewhere, obviously.

I do have a bone to pick, though. I just heard an OCM report a sustained wind of 41 mph at the Mobile Regional Airport (which is the location of KMOB). Multiple checks on my part revealed a sustained wind of 26 mph with gusts to 46. That’s a big difference.

Sensible wx report: Strong gusts in the 40s with this squall. No doubt about it.

Hope you to my west the best of luck. There were a few gusts that blew threw here about 30 minutes ago with that last band ago probably in the 50-60 range. I've got to get a weather station.

Hope you have a 4 wheel drive, you may need it if you are off the paved surfaces.

I wonder if the wind speed just changed at that location?...

Anyone know what winds New Orleans got in the eyewall? Any reported hurricane gusts?

Zeta looks like is wasting no time moving inland. Looks like it's pretty much over for New Orleans based on radar.

Gusting up to 70 now here in Mobile, and getting stronger. Really ready for it to end, but being told it will be worse over the next couple of hours.
