Still with a broad CoC at the surface, pressures barely falling.

Nicholas stalling over Texas would put the Houston area in a bad situation with flooding like what happened with Harvey.

So, are you predicting historical flooding for East Texas? Why refer to Harvey unless there is an indication this will stall and create historical (now 56+ inches in a storm) rainfall. Please leave Harvey out of this, unless it is Nicholas to stall. I am a Harvey victim.

Yes too many references to past storms each one is different with their own challenges. Lets see how Nick plays out…hopefully blows through quickly and does not stall

Yep I am shaking and considering getting out tomorrow morning. I am in southwest Houston in northern fort bend and I am pretty much freaking out. Stayed for Ike but after Harvey I am broken.

The Euro op shows a stall, GEFS has many members that show a stall, and the EPS has many members that show a stall as well.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

Disclaimer: 50% of the time I have no clue of what I am talking about. Chances are I am taking a less than educated guess that sounds good because 10 years ago I stole Mike Watkins book 'The Hurricane and its Impact'. For official information please direct yourself to the NHC and their cadre of weather geniuses.

Word. We just got back to New Orleans yesterday so we didn’t know we got roof damage. But with no doubt abundant moisture way far to the east side of the system getting fed in and pumped up, rest assured we are on the blue tarp waiting list. Currently it’s alternating towels in the attic every 10 or so minutes. Luckily the rain here isn’t that hard

Oh and groceries here are spotty at all stores. Not terrible for 2 weeks later but could be vastly better. 35% of normal merch?

I am in no way a professional. Take what I say with a grain of salt as I could be totally wrong. Please refer to the NHC, NWS, or SPC for official information.

Earlier we were at a Home Depot in NW Houston and it was basically empty. We were totally surprised.

No one in Houston best I can tell are paying any attention to this. Definitely it acting like a storm is coming. Biz as usual, for now.

Winter 2020-2021 :cold:

All observations are in Tecumseh, OK unless otherwise noted.

Winter posts are focused mainly for Oklahoma & Texas.

Take any of my forecasts with a grain of salt, refer to the NWS, SPC, and NHC for official information

Never say Never with weather! Because ANYTHING is possible!

This is because of Ida, not Nicholas. Lots of family bought stuff from here and transported it to Louisiana.

Do you mean no customers or no merchandise when you say "basically empty"?

Still no organized center. Wouldn't put too much weight on any model solution
