Instantaneous wind speeds?

Wind speeds occurring at a moment, basically 1-second wind speed . . .

All observations are in Tecumseh, OK unless otherwise noted.

Winter posts are focused mainly for Oklahoma & Texas.

Take any of my forecasts with a grain of salt, refer to the NWS, SPC, and NHC for official information

Definitely seeing more mesovorts.
Another indication an EWRC maybe trying to form.

My friend's parents live in Houma and opted to stay. There was obviously less warning with Ida considering her state four days ago, but I hate to think of what's going to happen here that could have been prevented.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure - downcasting due to wobbles or delayed ERI is a dangerous game.

Hope all of you here who are in the path stay safe.

Would it have time to complete an EWRC before landfall?

Most likely not but it’s not going to change things unfortunately except maybe a tad less wind

Won’t even have time to start it. Radar appears to be showing yet another failed attempt for the outer eyewall to become established. There was a pretty good sized moat for a while, but it is quickly filling in from the se quad up
