Okay, and that private stations' reported wind was???
Pressure is pressure but many who own weather stations DO NOT have their anemometer in a place to get legit wind readings that would be acceptable to the masses.

Crazy confidence for Dade to have their TS Watches lifted. Just means that no winds are expected. Good news for them.

Yeah doesn’t mean much. The fact is most private weather stations do not have the anemometer at a location in height off the ground and distance from buildings, trees, etc that would be acceptable to the weather community. Pressure is what is is regardless.
My highest gust so far is 28.2
But I don’t have the means to get it to a spot that a professional entity would accept as a legitimate observation.

Seems like Nicole is still dealing with that patch of dry air to its south trying to work its way into the CDO and/or eastern quadrant. The western half of the core looks very healthy with fresh convection continuing to blossom.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

If any part of that eyewall affects my house, my marriage is over because I said it was going north of here and this storm will cost me more than my house being leveled in a 5
Maybe starting up the generator will win some brownie points.
I need to learn more about those.....
