Well, well, well. Imagine a storm getting accross Yucatan into the Campeche birthplace of Opal and others.

Kate was further east entering the Gulf and still gave us fits in the Panhandle. Opal started in Campeche and went directly to us in less than two days. It was a month earlier than Lisa, and only good thing is it seems th later storms recurve more and also we could have a life-saving cold front and cool high come blasting down to save the day.

Gums recalls both those late storms....
