Much better than I expected, though the eye is very large, Dovi has done a good job rotating convection and even symmetrizing some.

This storm is looking really good! Cloud tops are becoming more symmetric, the eye is becoming better defined, and the organization is increasing around the system. We might see an annular system here soon.

Another note on this system is that it does not look very much like a typical southern tropical cyclone. It looks more like a North Atlantic hurricane due to its structure with the large eye and outflow being northern dominant, an unusual characteristic of a cyclone so far south.

Cloud tops are warmer than you’d expect for an SPAC TC as well. Outflow being equatorial is a biproduct of monsoon trough genesis.

Wow that was one of the crazier TC collapses I've seen. Was looking great yesterday and just got completely ripped apart.

I am in no way a professional. Take what I say with a grain of salt as I could be totally wrong. Please refer to the NHC, NWS, or SPC for official information.

I was expecting it. It was headed towards extremely cold waters. Unlike our gulf stream that keeps some storms from collapsing like that, the waters there abruptly cool down along with an abrupt increase in wind shear.
