Raw T up to 6.8 now with convection picking up in the primary band & eye still ragged but looks to be contracting and probably going to collapse soon.

Eye has actually cooled over the last couple hours fwiw. SST’s are dropping so this will likely peak soon if it hasn’t already.

Rapidly turning Post Tropical, passed very close/over Iwo Jima in the past several hours.

Malakas likely was a C2 typhoon at landfall

I think that Malakas likely peaked between 120 - 125 kt winds and 940 - 930 mbar
