Is that a depression off of the Texas coast over Houston?

Re: ATL: INVEST 94L - Models
It seems like the GFS has a habit of being overly sensitive with marginal RH in the MDR/SAL, which may be to blame for this poor initialization.

CMC has is it passing just south of Haiti.
Edit: Now, it is gliding along the south coast of Cuba. Um, that's not a good direction.

Ha. It looks like it's wanting to create Elsa 2.0 now. That would be really strange if that happened two years in a row.

The GFS seems to think we're in an El Niño, considering how it keeps pumping out EPAC majors.

Well, only this time, (at least early predictions-wise), this thing will not be going at like 28 mph, which was a major detriment to Elsa. More like "what if Elsa did not have to deal with speed shear and dealt with more favorable conditions" I guess?

Yeah the CMC's path would be a very strange June/July system path, plowing right over Cuba into the SE GoM.

That path is almost identical to Dennis and Elsa, two storms that actually existed in June/July. I don’t think it's that strange after all.
