Look here at this loop

That is exactly what I saw earlier and then one of our local ocm Travis Herzog confirmed it. I think we have been skunked if you live W of I45!

8 PM TWO.

1. Western Gulf of Mexico:
Satellite and radar imagery, along with reports from an Air Force
Reserve Hurricane Hunter aircraft, indicate there has been little
change in the strength and organization of the low pressure near
the southern coast of Texas during the last several hours. The
disturbance is forecast to move slowly northward and inland over
southeastern Texas tonight. While slow development is still
possible until the low moves inland, the chances of a tropical
depression forming are decreasing. Regardless of development,
heavy rain and associated flooding are possible along portions of
the Texas coast for the next two days. For more information about
the potential for heavy rain and flooding, please see products
issued by your National Weather Service office.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...30 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...30 percent.

Ok, I'm about to give up. West of 45 still have any chance of rain? Or at least maybe a shot with some regular old summertime afternoon showers?

According to the HRRR and 3kNAM, it’s a big fat no.

Look at the radar! There's a small line heading north toward Houston, let's see if it poofs.

Learned along time ago that whatever the lousy TV mets say on Houston tv then just plan for the exact opposite to happen. This happens quite frequently. Only one I have an ounce of respect for is David Paul. The rest I don't even watch.

Now now Houston folks, don't get your panties in a bundle, the rain will come and expect some FFW today across SETX, minor street flooding and flooding in low lying areas. It takes one super cell to drop 4" in a matter of minutes. Them i45 and spaghetti bowl corridors in Houston can fill up in minutes. Take care, turn around, don't drown.

If you would have been in this thread yesterday, you'd know! You're to blame for this because the weather gods heard your complaint about an extra hour of work and they poofed all the rain west of 45. :lol:

I'm in the zone of nothing so far in Cypress, just cloudy. If take anything at this point. Cloudy with no rain is just a tease.
