Think I read the low will come ashore just SW of Matagorda Bay, or thereabouts? Then turn NWD, it's gonna be feast or famine for some, regarding rainfall...

It’s expected to turn NW per the NHC. I’d guess anywhere between Port Aransas to Seadrift for a landfall.

I’m just going by what the tropical models are showing. The mesoscale models have been a good bit further east more towards Matagorda Bay.

Well nvm now it looks like Matagorda Bay on the latest tropical models. Bad news.

95L is not much to look at, at this time on satellite.

If you look at the HGX radar, you will see a plethora of rain moving onshore. I think we will get rain today.

Without a circulation, the point of "landfall" is irrelevant. It's a trough axis. Squalls have already moved ashore into the upper Texas and SW LA coasts from Freeport to Cameron Parish. Lots of rain for the middle TX coast to SW Louisiana today and Friday. We need it.

I'm not seeing anything so far, west of 45. I'm in the Cypress area.

Cloudy here in Sweeny, light rain, a few rumbles of distant thunder...

I'm being impatient, so far nothing here, it's not even cloudy. Clear skies, high heat in Cypress.

1.96” at 1100 at Smith Point last five hours north shoreline of East Galveston Bay. Long and steady slow rain…perfect!
