Lol same. I said two. But not in the first two days of July!

I am by no means a professional. DO NOT look at my forecasts for official information or make decisions based on what I post.

Goal: to become a registered expert over tropical and subtropical cyclones.

Great prediction! What's your reward? Working extra this weekend?

So much for my July storm guess of 0. This system looked really impressive yesterday just off of Savannah.

Dang, 35 kt and 1014 mbar. And I thought the last two Colins were weak.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

I suspect genesis will move up to about 1800Z yesterday in post-analysis as a tropical depression, and then 0000Z becoming a tropical storm.

I wouldn't be shocked to see once this offshore within the next couple of days to see it become better organized and strengthen a little. This is quite common with past systems I've watched over the years in similar position or further offshore.

Actually, you're working all weekend. I'm off until Wednesday.

This thing fell apart as fast as it spun up. Probably dead at 11. TCR most likely to extend life back to 18z yesterday with dissipation at 00z today.

I think Colin weakened to a depression 12-18 hours ago and a remnant low this morning. It's clearly not a TS. The squalls that produced straight-line winds to 35 kts offshore last evening died overnight. It has no wind and no squalls now. NHC will call it a TD shortly and a remnant low in the next advisory.
