I am by no means a professional. DO NOT look at my forecasts for official information or make decisions based on what I post.

Goal: to become a registered expert over tropical and subtropical cyclones.

I am in no way a professional. Take what I say with a grain of salt as I could be totally wrong. Please refer to the NHC, NWS, or SPC for official information.

I would love to see how this ASCAT pass doesn't show a closed center. Glad we can expect some weirdness out of the CPHC after all

Visible imagery suggests some elongation since ASCAT. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s now open.

The aircraft cannot fly that high. The deep convection extends to 15 km altitude.

youre telling me in 2022 theres no aircraft that can fly that high?

There is no above the eye though, it extends all the way into the atmosphere.

hurricanes extend at most 50000 ft into the atmosphere and those are the very intense ones. there are aircraft capable of going higher then that and they can enter the eye from above.
